The Chicago Bulls could sign point guard Dennis Schroder

The point guard position looked like it was extremely deep, for a little while, but now the Bulls are looking at possibly the exact opposite. Lonzo Ball may never play in a Bulls uniform again. Let’s establish that possibility, first and foremost.

Aye Dosunmu is a free agent and took a step backward last season, so there is no guarantee the Bulls bring him back, although most fans probably hope they give him another contract.

The priority, this offseason, is going to be re-signing Coby White, who could be their starting point guard of the future. Patrick Beverley is a free agent as well, so the Bulls might be left with just White and Dosunmu.

Dennis Schroder brings some valuable experience and is historically a better defender than he showed this past season. He shouldn’t come too expensive, and would give the Bulls a great reserve option if Dosunmu still struggles.

Last season, Schroder averaged 12.6 points, 4.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 0.8 steals in about 30 minutes per game for Los Angeles, so he played quite a bit and was a vital part of their rotation.
