Veteran pass rushers the Chicago Bears can still sign: Leonard Floyd
How about a reunion? The Bears once selected Leonard Floyd in the first round back in the 2016 NFL Draft. The former no. 9 overall pick never amounted to much in Chicago, posting a total of 18.5 sacks in four seasons with the Bears.
After getting a fresh start with the Los Angeles Rams, Floyd finally broke out like all Bears fans were hoping to see in Chicago. Finishing his three years in Los Angeles with 29.0 sacks, and spreading them out pretty evenly, Floyd is now still somehow searching for a new home.
The Rams parted ways with him, deciding not to keep him around as their defense has been in flux, trading Jalen Ramsey and letting Bobby Wagner go as well. Now 30 years old, Floyd absolutely has plenty of football left in him.
A full-circle moment, returning to Chicago a different player, would make for quite the story. Floyd has blossomed into a real threat off the edge, and would be the perfect addition to this Bears defense. Poles could even offer him longer than just a one-year deal, giving him two or maybe even three years with an option to get out of the third.
