Chicago Bulls Rumors: 3 splash trades to acquire Damian Lillard
By Ryan Heckman
Trade Number 2: A more aggressive trade from the Chicago Bulls for Damian Lillard
This next trade is a bit more aggressive, and involves similar players and picks to the first trade. But, the biggest difference is, instead of the Bulls offering last year’s first-round pick, Terry, they substitute that with one of the league’s top defenders in Alex Caruso.
That’s the one part of this deal that might get Portland’s attention, because Caruso has become an elite defensive player and would offer the Blazers a major upgrade off their bench. Aside from Caruso, the Bulls will still trade both Patrick Williams and Coby White, via sign-and-trade.
Chicago also gives up those two first-round picks, along with a second rounder in 2026 and a second rounder in 2027. Because the restriction on draft pick trading only applies to being without first-round picks in back-to-back years, the Bulls can make this move with their second-round selections.
