Reasons Dan Orlovsky thinks Justin Fields can win MVP: The arrival of DJ Moore

“Number two, DJ Moore. There’s there’s finally some decent talent on the outside that he’s going to have the chance to throw to,” Orlovsky said.

When the Bears made the big move to trade the number one overall pick to Carolina and received the haul of picks, plus DJ Moore, that’s the move that truly sparked the biggest change between last year and this year.

Prior to Moore’s arrival, Bears fans were banking on possibly adding one of the top rookie wide receivers in the draft this year, and counting on that guy to potentially be the number one option. With Moore in Chicago, now, there’s no doubt who the number one option is. Fields has his true alpha wideout.

“I’ll say it again. He is going to be in the MVP conversation this year because he finally has the right people around him to allow his talents to excel,” Orlovsky pointed out.

Despite subpar quarterback play, Moore has gone for over 5,000 receiving yards in five seasons as a pro. Bringing his career to Chicago, Moore will play with the most talented quarterback he’s been able to play with thus far during his young career.
