Brandon Shell

Brandon Shell would fit in very well with the Chicago Bears in 2023.

Like his great-uncle Art Shell, Brandon also plays tackle at a high level. Although Brandon isn’t going to be in the Hall of Fame when his career is over, he has carved a solid career out for himself.

Destination-wise, Shell practically swapped places with George Fant. Shell was originally drafted by the New York Jets back in 2016. There he spent his next 4 seasons starting 40 games at tackle.

After his successful stint as a Jet, Shell took his talents to Seattle. He spent his next two seasons as a Seahawk anchoring the right tackle position, starting 21 games.

However, Shell’s most recent season with the Miami Dolphins showed off his versatility. Due to injuries and the underwhelming talent in the Dolphins’ offensive line room, Shell played snaps at both tackle positions in 2022.

Although Shell moved around the line, he only allowed two sacks in 761 snaps played. This kind of versatility and longevity at the position could really help out a young and improving Bears offensive line.
