Free agent big men from NBA Playoffs the Chicago Bulls should target: Jakob Poeltl, Toronto Raptors

Type: Unrestricted

2022-2023 regular season stats: 12.5 points (62.9 percent shooting), 9.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 blocks, 1.2 steals

Lastly, the Bulls could go after another true Vucevic replacement by signing unrestricted free agent Jakob Poeltl.

At one point, the Bulls were heavily involved in trade rumors for the former San Antonio Spurs big man before he was moved to the Toronto Raptors. So, we know Chicago has had interest in the past. Now, they wouldn’t have to give up any picks for the 27-year-old veteran.

Poeltl is more of a true center, not offering anything from beyond the arc. However, he’s a solid rim protector and defender who can score near the hoop at a high level. He does actually possess a solid jump shot, too, but it doesn’t stem over 16 feet.

Should the Raptors be unable to extend Poeltl after trading for him in the middle of this past season, the Bulls would benefit from getting involved in pursuing the veteran big man.
