3 most underrated Chicago Bears draft picks from 2023
3. Roschon Johnson – RB – Texas
One of the best picks of the draft was made by the Chicago Bears on day three.
Kind of like linebacker, running back has become a tier-three position in the NFL. They come and go and most teams look foolish after handing one a second contract.
It is also not the best idea to draft one early in the draft. Bijan Robinson was a first-round running back this year as the Atlanta Falcons took that risk. He comes from Texas where he was absolutely unbelievable.
Well, his backup was drafted by the Chicago Bears on day three of the draft. Roschon Johnson might be the best selection (based on value) that the team made over the entire event. He might end up being one of the best in the whole league which would be cool to see.
A lot of folks say that if Johnson were on any other team in college (besides Texas), he’d have the numbers to be a much higher draft pick than he was. He has incredible talent that was hidden because of the play displayed by Robinson at Texas.
Hopefully, the Bears unlock that production in 2023 as he pairs in the backfield with Khalil Herbert. Of all these picks, he feels like the most underrated.
