Day 2 prospects who could fall to the Chicago Bears in 2023 NFL Draft: Derick Hall, EDGE, Auburn

Finally, the Bears must address the edge rusher position. They have to come away with a defensive end on Day 2. It’s difficult to make a statement like that, but it would be hard to watch the Bears pass rush without adding one top-end player in the draft at the position.

Derick Hall could wind up falling to them late in the second or third round, and if he was there, Ryan Poles should definitely pull the trigger. The Auburn product is built like an anatomy project straight out of AP biology, folks. Just look at him. Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 254 pounds, Hall possesses ideal defensive end size, although he’s a bit lighter.

However, he is an unbelievable athlete with some of the best speed at his position. How about a defensive end who runs a 4.55 40-yard dash? Not too shabby, considering he also posted a 10-foot-7 broad jump, too.

Hall’s pass rush style is reckless abandonment. He is a freight train running towards the quarterback, which is going to be a breath of fresh air, should he become a Bear.

This is a guy who would immediately transform into a locker room leader. He’s as tough as they come, plays hard and aggressive and is known for his character. If there was a true Matt Eberflus type on Day 2, it’s Hall.
