The Chicago Bears enter the 2023 NFL Draft with the ninth overall pick. They weren’t the ninth-worst team in the NFL though as they finished in dead last but traded back.

Now, they are looking to keep building back up and it starts with this ninth pick that they got from the Carolina Panthers.

If they want to be taken seriously in the rebuild, there are a few players that they won’t take because it won’t help them become a good team right away.

Sometimes you need to build from the inside out in order to succeed. These are the three players that they must avoid in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft:

851. . RB. Longhorns . Bijan Robinson. 5. player

Bijan Robinson is someone that the Chicago Bears should stay away from.

If the Chicago Bears trade for someone like Austin Ekeler, Derrick Henry, or Saquan Barkley, that would be awesome. They are veteran players that you won’t have to give up all that much to get because of the fact that running back has become a depth position in the modern-day NFL.

However, drafting one with the ninth overall pick when they have a million other holes to fill would be a horrific idea. Bijan Robinson is likely going to be the only back taken in the first round but he should be going to a Super Bowl contender that is a running back away.

There will be other running backs that come up and there might even be some really good ones in the later rounds of this draft. Wasting that ninth pick on Robinson would mean they had a horrific draft and we would all be questioning Ryan Poles’ decision-making.
