5 things the Chicago Bears need to happen in the NFL Draft to get the best outcome at No. 9

Are the Seattle Seahawks or Detroit Lions taking (or not taking) Jalen Carter?
Jalen Carter had a controversial offseason. He was charged with reckless driving and racing for his role in an accident that ended up with his Georgia teammate and a staffer passing away. Carter then showed up to Georgia’s Pro Day out of shape and could not finish the drills.
He is still the best defensive tackle prospect in the draft. Carter might be the best prospect period.
He can flat-out wreck a game.
There are questions about his motivation. He played in the College Football Playoff semifinal game out of shape. Then he came back in the National Championship Game in shape and played well.
It just depends on how you feel about Carter. If you think he is too much of a risk, you want the Seahawks or the Lions to take him. If you think Carter is the answer for the Chicago Bears at three-technique, you want Seattle and Detroit to pass on him so he can continue to fall.
If you are in the camp of not wanting Carter, you probably want Seattle to take him over Detroit. If the Lions take him, it would mean the Chicago Bears face Carter twice a year while being paired up with Aidan Hutchinson.
Those two teams both have multiple first-round picks this year. They have the draft capital to take the risk on Carter.
