Chicago Bears: 3 controversial trades to make during 2023 NFL Draft

Controversial trades the Chicago Bears could make in the 2023 NFL Draft: A shocking Justin Fields trade
First of all, the entire context of this trade depends upon one specific scenario, and that involves either Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud or Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson falling to pick no. 8. If neither of them make it that far, then the context completely gets erased.
But, the Atlanta Falcons are an interesting team, here. While most believe they wouldn’t pay up for a quarterback, a lot of those reports are more in reference to a possible deal for Lamar Jackson. In this scenario, they get a quarterback who would undoubtedly go at least no. 2 in this draft, if not no. 1 above Bryce Young.
This is a scenario where, maybe Ryan Poles sees far too much value in adding another second and third-round pick, plus getting the opportunity to have two more years on a rookie contract.
Look, I am a firm believer in Justin Fields. I believe he is going to continue developing into a star. But, Poles might see too much value in the above draft capital and two extra years for a rookie quarterback contract.
It would be controversial, surprising and could turn this weekend upside down.
