The late rounds can win a team like the Chicago Bears the Super Bowl.

Round Five

841. . RB. Rebels . Zach Evans. 136. player

In round five of the 2023 NFL Draft, there could be some real value. For one, the Chicago Bears don’t have David Montgomery anymore as he signed a deal with the Detroit Lions.

Zach Evans out of Ole Miss could be a guy that they draft to team up with Khalil Herbert just to see how he does.

Later in the round, Daniel Scott out of Cal could be a guy that they try at safety. He was very good there in college and now he is expected to be a later-round pick.

The Bears draft heavily in the secondary to see how much they can improve it in one year as their linebacker core should be much better because of free agency.

Round Six

The Chicago Bears do not currently hold a pick in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. They may trade in at some point for now they are scheduled to sit that round out.

Round Seven

404. . OL. Eagles . Sidy Sow. 218. player

. WR/TE. Cardinal . Elijah Higgins. 258. player. 871

Sidy Sow is an offensive lineman from Eastern Michigan. Sometimes these late-drafted MAC players turn out to be studs so it will be interesting to see what ends up for him.

Elijah Higgins out of Stanford is a very interesting player to think about as well. He can play wide receiver and tight end which makes him a very intriguing player late in the draft.

If the Chicago Bears took this monumental risk of trading Justin Fields and selecting a new quarterback, there would be a lot of unhappy folks. However, we can hope that Ryan Poles is willing to do whatever it takes to make this team better as soon as possible.
