3 more Bears players who could be traded before the draft
The Chicago Bears could move Velus Jones Jr. before it is too late.
The Chicago Bears drafted Velus Jones Jr. in the 2022 NFL Draft but he hasn’t come in and lit the world on fire. Their passing game wasn’t even that good in general so it is hard to rip on him for that but there were plenty of instances where his play was questionable.
Being the young and talented second year player, however, can make other teams interested in your potential. With DJ Moore, Darnell Mooney, and Chase Claypool as locks to be ahead of him on the depth chart, they might as well try and get something for Velus Jones Jr.
Even a guy like Dante Pettis or Equanimeous St. Brown might be ahead of him on the depth chart. If the Bears are going to develop him that way, they might as well trade him to a team that actually wants him.
It is unclear if the Bears will trade any of their roster players before the draft but these three make sense if they are going to do something like that. Hopefully, regardless of what happens, the Chicago Bears get better as a team in the long-term.
