Chicago Bears Rumors: 3 trades moving back in the Draft with the Ravens
By Ryan Heckman
Trade Number 3
Finally, the Bears could go after strictly draft capital. With the Ravens having already sent their second rounder to the Bears last season in the deal for Roquan Smith, they’re going to be strapped for picks the remainder of this draft. And, without including a player, they’ll include far more picks in a deal like this.
For those clamoring that this might be too much, let’s just remember the fact that the Bears gave up a future first and fourth-round pick to move up nine spots from 20 to 11. The Ravens are moving up 13 spots to no. 9, so they’ll have to give up far more than Chicago did.
Is this an overpay? It could be. It might just be downright crazy for Baltimore. But, the way Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta has spoken lately doesn’t exactly shine light on how intelligent he is. After all, he did recently compare Lamar Jackson to the likes of Derek Anderson and Tyrod Taylor.
