Chicago Bears: 5 reasons why Justin Fields will be 2023-24 NFL MVP
Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields is built for this moment. He is the epitome of the evolution of the quarterback position and he now has the chance to prove it.
I’m a fan just like you, Bears Nation. I’ve died on the hill of hope many times as a Chicago Bears fan, yet I climb up again. I know how it feels to be let down by my favorite team or my favorite player.
I understand the pessimism of Bears fans who don’t want to get on that hill again with me. With that being said, everything that I know about Justin Fields has me convinced this is different.
Fields has been in the spotlight his entire life because he has worked for this moment his entire life. From winning Trent Dilfer’s Elite 11 high school quarterback camp over Trevor Lawrence to being endorsed by Cam Newton, his drive to be the best has been evident to all from an early age.
Many athletes are unable to withstand the pressure of Chicago sports. The pressure is exponentially greater as a Bears QB because of our history, but Justin Fields embraces it unlike any player I’ve seen play the position before him. He is used to the spotlight and he shows it.
He has navigated the difficult Chicago media from Day 1 with the maturity of a seasoned veteran. He is constantly working at his craft. He organizes teammate workouts on his own to build chemistry with his weapons on his own time.
These are the attributes of a champion. These are the attributes of the NFL MVP. Maybe most importantly to this city, these are the attributes of a beloved, enduring Chicago athlete.

The Chicago Bears did not do justice for this generational talent during his first two years in the league. Justin Fields never wavered. No matter how many hits he took, how many passes were dropped, or how many leads he gave our defense were blown, he accepted the blame.
He was a leader through all of the trials and tribulations because that is who Justin Fields is at his core. He doesn’t need to fake it. He earned the belief of GM Ryan Poles, a man who did not draft him. New President and CEO Kevin Warren already was a believer.
Now armed with the full support of a modern Chicago Bears regime, Justin Fields is going to take the NFL by storm. It began last season, but the best is sure to come.
I believe in Justin Fields. If you don’t believe yet, you will. You’ll have no choice but to believe in the man known as ‘H1M’ when Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields raises the 2023-24 NFL Most Valuable Player award next February.
Book it, Chicago.
