Ever since the Chicago Bears traded their no. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, fans have often wondered whether or not they are done moving around within the first round.

If general manager Ryan Poles’ short history in his position says anything, the answer to that question very well could be a resounding ‘no.’

If Poles has the opportunity to obtain even more value, then he’ll pull the trigger on another trade back. But, which teams are the most likely to make a move like this? Obviously, if there’s a quarterback available at no. 9, then those options become narrowed down and the likelihood of a trade goes up.

But, there are other possibilities at hand, and Friday morning yet another possible trade partner emerged.

According to ESPN’s Matt Miller, the Buffalo Bills are eyeing a trade up from their no. 27 overall pick.

The Chicago Bears would have to land a massive haul to trade back with the Buffalo Bills

Buffalo enters the draft with just six picks, and according to this report, they’ll be looking at either an offensive lineman or an offensive skill position player. So, which players could they be looking at if they traded up with Chicago?

More than likely, Northwestern’s Peter Skoronski would be the lineman they’re eyeing, and he’d probably come to Buffalo as a guard.

As for offensive skill players, the options are wide open. Between receivers Quentin Johnston, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Jordan Addison, the Bills have a good trio to choose from. Texas running back Bijan Robinson and Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid are also top-end first round prospects.

If the Bills traded up with Chicago, this is the type of haul the Bears would be looking at:

Buffalo would have to be pretty certain that the guy they’re trading up for is “the guy” for them.

This is a haul of picks for the Bears, who get an extra third rounder this year and a first and third in 2024. That would give Chicago three first rounders in 2024, with an absolutely loaded first round.

At pick 27, the Bears could be looking at players like Oklahoma offensive tackle Anton Harrison, Tennessee offensive tackle Darnell Wright, Georgia edge rusher Nolan Smith, Clemson edge rusher Myles Murphy or Iowa State edge rusher Will McDonald IV.
