2. Leo Carlsson

Leo Carlsson is a great option for the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2023 Draft.

If the Chicago Blackhawks ended up with the third overall pick, Leo Carlsson might end up being the most likely selection.

He is an outstanding forward that is going to come over from Sweden. It is questionable that he will be ready for the NHL in year one but it won’t take long.

He is a highly skilled player that is going to be in an NHL top-six. With the right players around him, he might even turn into an above-average scorer which is something the Blackhawks would love to get out of this draft. Obviously, there is also a chance for him to become a star.

If the Blackhawks landed a player like this third overall, the organization would be as happy as they can be based on the fact that they aren’t getting one of the top two.

Carlsson has all of the skills needed to develop well with some of the other great prospects in Chicago’s system. There are plenty of players that he’d look great on a line with.
