Blackhawks: 3 prospects to draft if not Bedard or Fantilli
The Chicago Blackhawks are all in on the 2023 NHL Draft. There are some really good players and this is seen as one of the better drafts of all time going into it.
For one, the first overall pick is a generational superstar (we think). Regina Pats forward Connor Bedard has broken all kinds of records and is one of the best Major Junior players ever.
Following him will be Michigan University forward Adam Fantilli. He doesn’t have the pure dominant skill of Bedard but he is still going to be a very good player. The two-way game with a high-level motor is what will make him a premier player in the NHL one day.
After that, there is a lot of debate on who to select with the third overall pick. The first and second overall picks are all but set with Bedard and Fantilli which is why all of the bottom feeders in the league will have eyes locked in on May 8th during the 2023 NHL Draft Lottery.
The Chicago Blackhawks really need to draft a solid group of players in 2023.
The Blackhawks are one of those teams as they have pretty much stripped their roster down to nothing in order to be competitive in this year’s draft lottery sweepstakes.
However, what if they don’t land one of those two picks? That would be a disaster in a lot of ways but the show would have to go on. They would have to make a decision on another player and continue building.
If they can’t get Bedard or Fantilli, one of these three players would be worth considering depending on exactly where they land:
