2. Jason Dickinson

The Chicago Blackhawks could move Jason Dickinson to a contender.

The Chicago Blackhawks are a team that doesn’t need a player like Jason Dickinson right now because they aren’t trying to win anything. They are simply trying to develop players so they can give that spot to someone who is much younger with a higher ceiling.

There is a role for Jason Dickinson in this league though. Contenders love guys who eat up minutes on their fourth line and contribute some offense every now and again. He would be perfect in that role on a lot of teams but the Blackhawks are not one of them.

Even if he is part of a much larger trade. the Hawks should be looking to move him once the season is over. He has one year left at 2.65 million against the cap which is not bad at all for a player like him. He might even play better on a good team too which is something to think about.

At this rate, he would be the second highest-paid (Tyler Johnson) forward on the Blackhawks in 2023-24. They don’t need him anymore and now is the time to move on from him as they head in that younger direction for real.
