3. Alex Stalock

Alex Stalock had a very good year in goal for the 2022-23 Chicago Blackhawks.

The position of goaltender hasn’t been easy for the Chicago Blackhawks in 2022-23. They gave up a lot of high-danger chances and didn’t give them much offensive support. That is never a positive situation for anyone.

However, everyone that suited up in goal for the Hawks this year deserves respect because they easily could have been much worse and nobody would have even said anything to them. The situation made everybody understand.

Alex Stalock is one of the players that we are talking about here. He is on an expiring contract though and it is highly unlikely that he will be back. They have Petr Mrazek signed for one more year beyond this one and a lot of young kids that they are going to want to play.

At 35 years old, we don’t know what is next for Stalock but he probably won’t be on the Hawks. He does have a .915 save percentage and 2.84 goals against average on this horrible team so you’d like to think he gets a chance somewhere.

These final games will be important to him as they will be for everyone competing for jobs next year.
