Wildcard options for the Chicago Bears at pick number 9: Paris Johnson, OT

This might seem a bit odd to some Bears fans, but Ohio State offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. is still somewhat of a wildcard for the Bears at no. 9. Not every outlet has him graded as a top-15 type of player.

Specifically, Pro Football Focus has him listed as their 19th overall player in the draft. With that in mind, number nine would be a reach.

Or, would it?

Johnson stands 6-foot-6 with fantastic length and athleticism. He can move with the best of them at his position, and plays with quick feet. His movement skills are elite, allowing him to adjust to a variety of angles from the shiftier, craftier pass rushers.

Johnson is able to get out in space as well, which will not just help protecting his quarterback but also in a zone rushing scheme. Adding Johnson gives the Bears their other starting tackle, right away.
