Wildcard options for the Chicago Bears at pick number 9: Bijan Robinson, RB

After the Bears lost David Montgomery to the Detroit Lions in free agency, they immediately struck a deal with free agent running back D’Onta Foreman. The former Houston Texan, Tennessee Titan and most recently Carolina Panther has bounced around and finally found his form after an Achilles injury early in his career.

Still, the Bears could take the draft’s best back and completely change the face this offense. Bijan Robinson is one of the best running back prospects we’ve seen in the past decade, and there’s not a lot he doesn’t do well.

Robinson has excellent speed for his size as evidenced by his 4.46 in the 40-yard dash. But, he possesses the power in both his top and bottom halves to shed tacklers. He runs well between the tackles, and if he reaches the second level, it is hard to stop him from going the distance. He is a momentum runner.

The Bears’ back field would be lethal with Robinson in the fold, but again, is he a need? Not necessarily.
