Chicago Bears: 4 free agents to help replace David Montgomery

Running backs to replace Chicago Bears free agent David Montgomery: Miles Sanders
It just so happens that Miles Sanders could be testing free agency with another one of his draft mates in Montgomery. Both were drafted four years ago and came out as two of the top running backs in that 2019 class.
Last season, Sanders had by far his best season as a pro. It helped to see Jalen Hurts break out in the way he did, as well as adding a guy like A.J. Brown to open up the offense. But, Sanders took advantage of his touches.
He ran it 259 times for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. A former second-round pick, Sanders has always shown the potential to be a top-end starter in this league, but has yet to fully reach it until last year. In fact, last year was his first season topping the 1,000-yard mark.
If we went according to market value, Spotrac has Sanders’ annual average estimated right around the same number as Montgomery, which sits at $7.2 million. It would be interesting to see the Bears choose between two backs likely to make similar money, but Sanders would definitely fit.
