Chicago Bears Draft: 3 sneaky trade-down scenarios with number 9 pick

Trade Number 2: The Chicago Bears make a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a curious team to watch this offseason. They are also a franchise that will be parting with some veterans, mostly to save some money against the cap and also to try and retool. Depending on what they do in free agency, the Bucs very well might end up looking at a rebuild as well.
With Tom Brady retiring, that puts a dent in any plans of another run behind the greatest quarterback of all-time in Tampa Bay. Now, Tampa has been trying to convince fans and the rest of the NFL that they’re confident in young quarterback Kyle Trask, but most would agree that he likely isn’t the answer. Who knows, maybe he is. But, the Bucs could be a team to watch in moving up with Chicago here.
The Bucs could be the most ideal trade partner for the Bears, in this situation, because they would offer the biggest return out of any team in this conversation. Tampa would give the Bears their no. 19 pick in the first round, of course. But, they would also send their second rounder, coming in at no. 53.
It doesn’t stop there, though. Tampa would also send Chicago their first-round pick in next year’s draft, as well as a fourth rounder. The Bears would be totally set for the foreseeable future, in terms of draft capital. This would give them three second rounders in the 2023 draft, plus three firsts in next year’s draft. Just imagine the possibilities, especially if Fields pans out.
