A.T. Perry, Wake Forest

Perry is a consistent wide receiver and does a good job at getting open when winning at the line of scrimmage. He’s 6’5, 212 pounds and contributed in two seasons for Wake Forest. In 2021, he caught 15 touchdowns along with 1,293 receiving yards. He followed that up in 2022 with 11 touchdowns and 1,096 receiving yards. Perry reminds me a lot of Allen Robinson. A tall receiver that’s a good target for shorter routes like slants, but can also make plays down the field. He’s also a threat in the red zone that can go up and bring the ball down.

Perry had a good combine. He ran a 4.47 40-yard dash with a 1.59 10-yard split. A decent time for his height and size. Perry had a 35.00’’ vertical, and he tied for 4th amongst wide receivers in the broad jump with a 11.1.’’

Perry will likely be available when the Bears are on the clock. He would be a solid fit with Claypool on the outside, then have Mooney in the slot. If Chase Claypool doesn’t work out, Perry could be the future at the X receiver spot. A solid option for Ryan Poles.
