The Chicago Bears landed the number one overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft because of a miracle play made by the Houston Texans in Week 18 of the season. It was a minor miracle that they were able to pull that off.

Because the team seems to believe in Justin Fields, they are going to probably trade out of the first-overall pick. There are certainly going to be a lot of teams out there that try to land this pick.

It is very important that Ryan Poles gets the most out of this once-in-a-lifetime chance. The Bears have been a terrible organization for most of the Super Bowl era and anyone who turns that around will become a legend in town. That could be Poles and it all starts with this move.

Teams often act foolish when they don’t have a quarterback that they believe in. Those teams are going to be willing to wildly overpay for this first pick so they can take their chance on a good quarterback from the draft. That is something that can change the direction of the Bears forever.

The Bears probably don’t want to move outside of the top ten but you never know. It will all depend on the return packages presented to them. If they are smart, it won’t be long before they are a good team again.

No matter what happens, you just have to hope the move leads to better days for the franchise. These three trades could get a deal done for the first overall pick:
