March’s final week has a couple of major programs having pro days.

March 29th: Pittsburgh and Texas Tech have their pro days. Pitt defensive tackle Calijah Kancey is rocketing up draft boards. He had a great combine and could be an option for Ryan Poles to take in the first round if he trades down.

Defensive end Tyree Wilson is also a highly regarded defensive end prospect. He has the ideal size for a pass rusher. He was unable to run the 40 at the combine due to needing to recover from a season-ending foot injury. He plans to run the Red Raiders pro day. He might be the second-best pass-rushing prospect in the draft.

Wilson is a player the Bears could nab on the draft’s first if they trade down.

March 30th: Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson dropped jaws at the NFL Combine. He showed off his elite athleticism as he ran a 4.43 40-yard dash and posted a 40.5-inch vertical jump. He showed off impressive arm strength in front of NFL scouts and general managers.

Richardson solidified his status as a top-10 prospect with that showcase.

If he chooses to participate in the pro day, he will get another opportunity to show his talents. His athleticism is unquestioned. There are concerns about his ability to transition to the NFL level. He started just 13 games in college and completed 53.8% of his passes last season.

Again, the Chicago Bears need a couple of teams to fall head over heels for one of the four QB prospects to create a fierce bidding war for the No. 1 pick.

TCU will also have a pro day. Wide receiver Quentin Johnson might be the best wide receiver in the draft. He is a big-body receiver at 6’3″ with a 40.5-inch vertical. Johnson did not run the 40 at the combine so he will be clocked at the pro day. Offensive lineman Steve Villa could be an option for the Bears to draft on day two.

Tennessee and Oklahoma have their pro days as well.

The Volunteers have two wide receivers, Jalin Hyatt and Cedric Tillman, that the Bears might be able to get in the second or third round. The Bears might need to be higher in the second round to have a shot at Hyatt. Offensive tackle Darnell Wright is also a possibility on day two of the draft.

Oklahoma offensive tackle Anton Harrison and wide receiver Marvin Wims Jr. might be available on the draft’s second day.

Free agency and the draft’s three days will shape the Chicago Bears roster. These dates will help the Bears get there.
