Bears Mock Draft: Trade down twice, land stud OT, and address defense
The late rounds of the 2023 Draft are when the Chicago Bears can take a leap.
The Chicago Bears don’t have a sixth-round pick at this point. They could very well trade into the round at some point but they aren’t there right now. So for now, we will advance into the seventh round of the mock draft.
Round Seven – Pick 221
The Chicago Bears along with the rest of the NFL have no clue what can come from the final few rounds of the draft. There are undrafted guys that can make a bigger impact in the league than guys who go in this round.
On the same note, guys drafted in the seventh round could outperform anyone taken in the draft ahead of them. They also usually have a chip on their shoulder so you just never know what happens for them in their career.
The Bears might consider the offensive line as the most important need this year. As a result, if there was a position to grab this late and hope it works, it is a position on the offensive line.
Caleb Chandler is someone worth trying out. He is a guard from Louisville that would like to be on an NFL line protecting a good quarterback. Fields needs as much help as he can get.
If Chandler worked, that would be great. If not, they took him in the seventh round and it won’t hurt them as much. Hopefully, however this goes, they end up improving their team in the present and in the future.
