Trade Number 3

One of the other rumored teams interested in the Bears’ pick is the Las Vegas Raiders, who have already moved on from longtime franchise quarterback Derek Carr. Now, they’re in line to find their next gunslinger, and if they had their way, they’d move up to no. 1 in order to get him.

The Raiders are in a tough division, of course having to compete with the reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes and the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs. But, the Los Angeles Chargers are also a team that should be on the rise. Who knows whether Sean Payton will turn around the Denver Broncos, but my money would be on him doing something positive. This is a tough division.

With Poles’ words in mind about securing a couple of additional firsts, it’s easy to see the Bears getting the Raiders’ no. 7 pick, along with their second and fourth-round selections in this year’s draft.

This would be one heck of a haul for the Bears, who would be able to draft another couple of good players in addition to their own picks and that seventh overall selection. Grabbing another second rounder would especially be helpful, considering the Bears gave up their own second rounder in the deal for Chase Claypool. That 39th pick could end up leading to a starting offensive or defensive lineman, or even a wide receiver.
