Chicago Bears Free Agency: 3 ideal offensive line targets

Ideal free agent offensive line targets for the Chicago Bears: Mike McGlinchey, T
One of the best fits for the Bears’ system is, of course, a guy who comes from a similar style offense. Mike McGlinchey has played in Kyle Shanahan’s offense for a few years now, and that’s the tree Luke Getsy stems from.
McGlinchey is one of the very best run-blocking tackles in all of football, and the Bears sure love to run the rock. He would step right in and start on the right side, or possibly the left if Braxton Jones was more comfortable on the opposite end.
McGlinchey just turned 28, so he is in the thick of his prime. He also proved he could come back from a major injury suffered in 2021, playing over 1,000 snaps in 2022 and giving up just six sacks.
One of the most impressive parts of McGlinchey’s season last year was the fact that he didn’t miss a beat, no matter who was starting at quarterback. Whether it was Trey Lance, Jimmy Garoppolo or the rookie Brock Purdy, McGlinchey was rock solid.
