There is a lot going on in the world of the Chicago Blackhawks. So far, they have traded a handful of players including franchise icon Patrick Kane. There is a lot of shuffling going on with this team as they attempt to rebuild it from the ground up.

They still have to get down to the ground though. They are close but there are still a few more pieces to shop around the league to see if they can get anything for them. One of them is Max Domi who is having an outstanding season, his first with Chicago.

Domi leads the Hawks in goals (18), assists (31), and points (49) which isn’t anything to ignore. Yes, Kane is gone now but he is still the leading scorer of an NHL team after having a few off years with other organizations.

He was given a chance this year and now he is taking advantage of it. As a result, he could be used as a good trade chip. Getting something for him would totally be worth it for the Hawks as he is on an expiring one-year contract anyway.

Max Domi of the Chicago Blackhawks might be on his way out of town.

According to Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic, one of the best hockey insiders in the world, the Hawks are looking to get a future second-round pick for Domi. It doesn’t have to be in 2023 which makes it easier for a contender to consider right now.

The Chicago Blackhawks are going to be rebuilding for at least a few more years. Adding as many picks as they can over the next three drafts will be something worth doing for them. They already have a lot of draft capital in the first three rounds of the next three drafts.

What can Domi bring to a contender? Well, he can play in the middle six of any lineup in the league right now with how he has played this year. He also brings some sandpaper with his game which is something a few of the teams at the top are missing.

Domi loves playing for Luke Richardson but maybe he can re-sign in the summer. As of now, he needs to be traded for assets. If Kane can go, anyone can go.
