A one-for-one Patrick Kane trade would be really nice for the Blackhawks.

If there were to be a world where the Blackhawks get a surprisingly good return, it would be just one really good prospect. The Rangers aren’t loaded with them like there were within the past few years though.

One name to watch out for is Brennan Othmann. He was a first round pick for New York in 2021 and only 20 years old so he is obviously going to have a tremendous amount of value.

If the Blackhawks somehow found a way to land a kid like this for Patrick Kane, that would be outstanding for Kyle Davidson and his staff.

Again, it is not a lock that Kane gets dealt but it feels fairly certain that he is going to be. He left the team while they were in San Jose to return to Chicago which is notable for a variety of reasons.

This is going the be hard for Chicago Blackhawks fans to swallow but it is going to be good for the team in the long run. The future is bright because of the prospects that they have and that pool is only going to get better over the next six months.

Kane deserves to end his career where he wants and where he has a chance at the most success. He has earned that right. Hopefully, no matter what, this eventual deal helps out both sides.
