Rounds 2 and 3 of the draft could provide instant help for the Chicago Bears.

Round Two – Pick 54 – via Baltimore Ravens

. OT. Volunteers . Darnell Wright. 2. player. 839

The Chicago Bears need some help on the offensive line. Giving Justin Fields some help in terms of weapons is important too but none of it will matter if he doesn’t have time to do anything with them. Adding a good offensive tackle like Darnell Wright would really help them right away.

Wright went to Tennessee where they had a magnificent year in 2022-23. He earned himself some good draft stock and will almost certainly be taken in the second round of the draft. Adding him to the Bears group right now would be really smart. He’d make them better right away.

Round Three – Pick 65

player. 872. . IOL. Horned Frogs . Steve Avila. 3

The Chicago Bears don’t have to end with Darnell Wright in the draft either. They can absolutely take two offensive linemen in the draft and that might still not be enough. Steve Avila out of TCU would make a great pick for them. The Horned Frogs were amazing in 2022-23 with Avila.

Avila gained some valuable experience with TCU in 2022-23 as well. They were even better than good. Although they were beaten badly by Georgia, they made it all the way to the National Championship game.

That experience is going to help everyone and the Bears could really use it on their offensive line with a guy like Avila.
