Chicago Bears Mock Draft: Fix OL while adding a WR and TE
Round 1 – Pick 1
If the Chicago Bears make the 1st overall pick, there are some good options.
The Chicago Bears are rumored to make the trade out of the first overall pick. That might be the likeliest option but here we are imagining a world in which they keep it. Imagine a world where they use it and select a player that can help them for the next decade.
Someone to consider for that role is Will Anderson Jr. out of the University of Alabama. He is a premier edge rusher that deserves to be the first overall pick as long as the top-picking team doesn’t need a quarterback. Obviously, if the Bears keep the pick, they aren’t taking a quarterback.
Anderson might be a player that can come in and impact Chicago’s defense for a very long time. They don’t have premier edge rushers anymore now that guys like Khalil Mack, Robert Quinn, and Akiem Hicks are gone. They need to build it back up which is something Anderson can help them do.
Everyone thinks that Chicago’s offense is in desperate need of help. Of course, these people are right but they can’t completely ignore the defense either. That defense is very bad and it needs help. Will Anderson would be a great addition to this team going into the 2023 season.
