Chicago Bears: 3 Chiefs free agents the team could sign

Chiefs free agents the Chicago Bears could sign: Orlando Brown, OT
If the Bears want to go out and make a huge move during free agency, there might be no bigger move they could make than to sign the best pass-blocking offensive tackle available. Orlando Brown came to Kansas City at a time when, now general manager Ryan Poles, was with the Chiefs.
So, they have a connection there, most certainly.
Brown isn’t yet 27 years old and is in for a huge contract this offseason. The Chiefs gave up a first-round pick to get him when they made that deal with the Baltimore Ravens, so you better believe they’re going to do what they can to retain him.
However, the Chiefs also have some hefty contracts on their roster with guys like Patrick Mahomes, Frank Clark and Travis Kelce. Can they afford to keep Brown? That’s the big question.
If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, it wouldn’t be farfetched to think Brown could find a new home to the highest bidder. It might be a situation where the Chiefs think, “We got what we wanted out of that trade.”
Bringing Brown to Chicago to block for Justin Fields would be a dream scenario for all Bears fans. We can only hope.
