Chicago Bulls Rumors: Likely trades, landing spots for Zach LaVine

Likely trade destinations for Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine: New York Knicks
Unlike the Bulls and Lakers, the New York Knicks are currently holding a winning record at 29-26 and sit in the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks are the second team involved in possibly trading for LaVine, and they likely wouldn’t have to give up a whole lot of talent in terms of personnel.
Money-wise, the Knicks could make it work if they traded a combination of Evan Fournier and Derrick Rose, bringing the hometown kid back to Chicago and ensuring fans will have reason to buy tickets, regardless of the Bulls’ record.
New York would then have to give up draft compensation, which would likely entail at least a first-round pick, if not two future firsts.
Next year, Fournier would be on the books for over $18 million in Chicago. That’s not ideal, but only one year of Fournier before his club option in 2024 isn’t the worst case scenario. Should the Bulls come away with first-round draft capital, then keeping Fournier for next season wouldn’t be a bad thing.
