The Chicago Bears may be able to get him for much cheaper than they thought.

Although you truly never know what is in the heads of NFL general managers, there is a good chance that the first proposal’s cost is way too much for Diggs. Now, we can think on the other side of the coin. What if he is actually extremely cheap?

Maybe the Bills won’t want to pay his salary anymore just for him to walk out of the locker room after playoff games. Maybe they won’t want to see him yelling at Josh Allen on the sideline anymore. These things go into decision-making sometimes if teams have had enough.

If that were true, the Chicago Bears might actually benefit from it. There are also a lot of other teams that would like to make a deal for Diggs, the Bears actually have the room on their roster. They also have the financial flexibility to pay him the money that he is owed on his contract.

A future second-round pick and a future sixth-round pick are both valuable because they are draft picks that can become great players. However, paying just that price for a player like Diggs feels like a no-brainer. Again, if he is on the cheaper side, the Bears should be on the phone every day.
