The Chicago Bears could pay big for Stefon Diggs if the Bills make him expensive.

There is a chance that the Buffalo Bills make Stefon Diggs a very expensive trade target. They know he is explosive and only 29 years old with a lot of great football left in him. He went from being a fifth-round draft pick to one of the best receivers in the league.

If the Bills are going to trade him but want a lot in return, the Bears still might consider it because they need to get Justin Fields some help in terms of weapons. A future first-round pick, a future second-round pick, and Cole Kmet would sure be a lot to give up.

The future first-round pick would certainly not be from 2023. It would take a lot more than Diggs for the Chicago Bears to give up the number one overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Bills also have a quarterback so they won’t be a team coveting that first pick. They are trying to enhance their Super Bowl chances, not rebuild.

Cole Kmet is a tight end that might be expendable for the Bears at the right price. Getting a receiver like Diggs would certainly be worth the former second-round pick tight end. Again, this is a lot to give up but it just might be worth it if someone new does get him.
