Free agents for the Chicago Bears to pursue from Wildcard losers: Adam Thielen, WR
He isn’t a free agent just yet, but Adam Thielen might be on his way out of Minnesota. The Vikings wide receiver is now under a lot of uncertainty after his wife posted a message on Instagram, saying that their time in Minnesota could be over.
Thielen isn’t the splashy, young name many fans would like to see in Chicago. However, if they were able to land him on a cheaper deal as their second or third option while still drafting a younger guy and mixing in Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool, this offense would get a boost.
One of the best things you can say about Thielen, even at age 32, is that he can still get open and catch the football. That’s it. That’s all you need to know. Thielen has always been one of the best route runners in the league and is as sure-handed as they come.
Since 2014, Thielen has gone over the 1,000-yard mark twice and has also finished with double-digit touchdowns in a couple of seasons. The former Mankato State product has one of the coolest stories you’ll ever hear, and would be a welcomed addition to the locker room.
