A team might be willing to take a chance on Cole Kmet of the Chicago Bears.

The Chicago Bears took the other Notre Dame standout in the 2020 NFL Draft when they took the tight end, Cole Kmet. He has been a player that has had his fair share of ups and downs. He certainly has had good moments but he also hasn’t exploded on the scene.

His quarterbacks have never been amazing at getting him the ball as Mitchell Trubisky, Nick Foles, Andy Dalton, and Justin Fields were never what he needed them to be during his career up to this point. Justin Fields absolutely could become that but nothing is for sure with his pass game.

The Bears might consider moving him to get something in return before he falls off again. He had a pretty good year with limited opportunity but another team might be willing to make a big move for a guy like this. It would certainly make for an interesting trade.

Like the Claypool trade idea, a team could be trading up to select their franchise quarterback while adding a tight end for him to throw to.

The Chicago Bears may just trade the first pick for a haul of picks but they might be able to get something really nice if they include one of these players in with it. Hopefully, regardless of what happens, the team finds a way to get better. Sustained success is the most important thing.
