Round Two (From Ravens)

The Chicago Bears have one pick in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Chicago Bears at one point had two second-round picks but that is no longer the case. They traded one of them to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for Chase Claypool. Now, the Chicago Bears have an extra depth wide receiver that they hope takes another step.

It is looking like a risky trade though because Claypool hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire since coming over. In fact, he has essentially been a nonfactor so that is something that the Bears need to worry about going into 2023.

The Bears should be all in on helping out their receiver core going forward. That can be helped through free agency, trades, and the draft. In this mock instance, the Bears use the draft a few times to add one.

With the 55th pick in the draft, the Bears take Rashee Rice out of SMU. He would be a great addition to the bears after a really nice college career that will allow him to be a second-round NFL Draft pick.

His workload in college increased each year and that ended with a solid end to his senior year. He found himself with 1355 yards on 96 receptions with 10 touchdowns. Now, he is hoping to get a chance in the NFL.
