The Chicago Bears would also pick second after a Justin Fields trade.

There could be a world where Ryan Poles wants to draft his own quarterback for the Chicago Bears. He didn’t take Fields and might want his own guy to lead his own rebuild. It isn’t the likely scenario but it is one to think about for the Chicago Bears.

If that happened, the Bears could get a haul. In this mock, they get the second overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, a future first-round pick, a future second-round pick, and a future third round pick for Justin Fields. With this, the Bears would be on the clock once again.

Round One – Pick Two

With the second overall pick, the Bears select Justin Fields’ replacement. Will Anderson wouldn’t be the only Alabama alumni coming to Chicago as the Bears use this pick on quarterback Bryce Young. He has been one of the best quarterbacks in the country for a long time.

If Poles does want his own guy and moves on from Fields, Young just better be the pick and it better work. Fields, on the other hand, would be going to Houston who needs a quarterback very badly. He is more of a lock to be good than anyone in this draft but nothing is certain at this point.
