There is a portion that feels Justin Fields can do no wrong, so “do not question his abilities.”

This is the other extreme regarding the Justin Fields’ viewpoints. This faction is all-in on Fields finally breaking the Sid Luckman curse. If you doubt Fields, then prepare to duck from the backlash you will get.

This portion has been thrilled with Fields’ playmaking ability. Maybe, a little too thrilled.

Honestly, there is nothing wrong with that. Justin is a highlight play waiting to happen. Still, there are areas where Fields must get better. Just do not tell this crowd about it.

At least this crowd is on the positive side. They are rushing to be the first to say they knew Fields was the answer while the other side is wanting to be right that the Bears must find another quarterback.

Maybe this side really wants it to work after watching Mitchell Trubisky, Rex Grossman, and Cade McNown bust. This group does freak out the moment it is pointed out that Fields still has ways to go before he can reach his MVP potential.

Mention that, this side comes back with arguments like he has no offensive line to protect him or talented receivers getting open to throw the ball to.

It is a valid argument.

Fields has spent most of the season running for his life. His receivers struggle to get open or catch the ball. It still does not absolve that Fields must improve his game. Even the coaches believe Fields needs to get better.

Dare question “H1M” with numbers and coaching comments, well, be prepared to be met with do not ruin this for me responses.

Although maybe it is post-traumatic Mitch syndrome. The thought of going through a possible quarterback failure again can be too much to bear.

Chicago Bears fans have had their hopes built up by quarterback promise only to see it crumble. Trubisky had a Pro Bowl second year only to regress. It was painful to watch.

The key difference between Fields and Mitch is Fields is mentally tougher than Trubisky. Also, Fields has already shown a better ability to go through his progressions. He just needs to get more consistent at doing it.

Some of Justin’s weaknesses are correctable whereas Trubisky’s was never going to get fixed. Just do not tell this crowd Fields has to get better. This group already has him bound for the Hall of Fame. I will admit that I sometimes sit in this section of the fan base.

This group will be happy to know that Ryan Poles appears to be sold on Justin Fields as the starter next season.
