Chicago Bears: 5 early trades involving number 1 pick

Trade Number 5: The Chicago Bears deal the number 1 pick to Carolina
The Carolina Panthers would have to move up eight spots in order to land that coveted first overall pick, but it’s definitely doable. For a team like Carolina, who has struggled to find an answer after the downfall of Cam Newton, they could surely use Bryce Young.
The Panthers, like Detroit, would be a juicy trade partner in this year’s draft. Carolina would give up their ninth overall selection, but they also have a pair of picks in the second round. Both of those would go to Chicago in this deal, giving the Bears a total of three picks in the second.
Beyond that trio of picks, the Bears would also get Carolina’s first-round pick in 2024, plus a third and sixth-round pick next year.
This is maybe the biggest trade return of them all, with two firsts, two seconds, a third and a sixth coming back to the Bears. But, it would be a welcomed trade for most fans. The possibilities Poles would now have after a trade like this could turn the Bears right back into a contender in a short period of time, coupled with their $119 million in cap space this offseason.
