Chicago Bears: 5 early trades involving number 1 pick

Trade Number 4: The Chicago Bears deal the number 1 pick to Detroit
Maybe the most fun draft day trade could be if the Bears decided to trade Bryce Young within the division. Now, would it be smart? Probably not. But, what the Bears could get back in return from a divisional foe would be oh, so tempting. Let’s just make a hypothetical deal between the Detroit Lions and Chicago, shall we?
The Lions possess two first-round picks this year, with one of them coming from the Los Angeles Rams by way of the Matthew Stafford deal. So, that’s a starting point. The Bears would get Detroit’s no. 6 overall pick plus their pick at no. 17.
But that’s not all. The Bears would also get Detroit’s second rounder at no. 47 overall, and additionally a second and third-round pick in the 2024 draft.
It’s a heck of a haul for Chicago, but if they were to trade within the division, Detroit has to understand they will be giving up a mighty large package.
