With pick no. 65 in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select Clemson defensive tackle Tyler Davis

What a draft the Bears will be having at this point. Not only do they add Georgia’s Jalen Carter, but now they also get Clemson’s Tyler Davis in the third round.

The 6-foot-2, 300-pound Davis is a well-built lineman with a ton of explosiveness off the line. He packs a punch and brings the hammer as an interior lineman, which is something the Bears have really lacked up front.

The senior has totaled 26.5 tackles for loss while with the Tigers and comes to the NFL as a guy who simply knows how to stop the run and make plays behind the line of scrimmage. He is an absolute menace, and paired up with Carter, this duo could wreak havoc on the NFC North for years to come.

With pick no. 80 in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select Iowa linebacker Jack Campbell

What better way to build your linebacking core than with a pair of former  Big Ten studs like Jack Sanborn and Jack Campbell? Being able to come away with Campbell at pick no. 80 overall is a no-brainer for Poles and company. This is one of the best linebackers in the draft that’s coming to Chicago in Round 3.

In the last two seasons, Campbell has amassed 255 total tackles, 7.0 for a loss, seven passes defensed, four interceptions and three fumble recoveries. He is a machine, much like we saw from Sanborn at times this season. Sanborn is fast and plays with excellent closing speed, and gives the Bears two legitimate linebackers to build their defense around going forward.
