Trade One: Send Nikola Vucevic to the Knicks

In this trade, the Chicago Bulls receive another young player who hasn’t been able to stick anywhere, a potential first round pick they can use to add more young talent to this roster, and the hometown kid who ought to come back home where he’ll get meaningful minutes.

The Knicks on the other hand, get another scoring option in the paint to go along with their excellent guard play and their own all-star wing in Julius Randle. Vucevic along with Mitchell Robinson and Hartenstein would form a great trio of bigs as well who would match up well with the top teams in the East.

In Derrick Rose, the Chicago Bulls would also be getting another former star who would continue to attract fans to the United Center in rebuilding years. He also is someone from the last great era of Bulls basketball and knows what fans expect to see out of this team, and would be a great leader in the locker room.

This is a trade that I believe helps both parties if the Bulls continue to trend in the direction they’re currently headed. It also helps the Knicks bolster their front line in a year in which they could look to make some noise in the playoffs with their shooting, defensive effort, and rebounding should they add Vucevic.
