Zach LaVine trades to give he and the Chicago Bulls a fresh start: The Los Angeles Lakers
The second team that might make sense to trade for LaVine is the Los Angeles Lakers. Up until recently, they had gotten hot. However, the Lakers will now be without forward Anthony Davis for a while due to injury.
Even without Davis, the Lakers can make some moves in order to survive for now. At the moment, Davis is out indefinitely. But, Los Angeles media still expects and desires the team to trade their picks in order to find LeBron additional help in effort to win another title.
In this trade, we see the Lakers get both LaVine and Coby White, which will give them some additional scoring off the bench as well. Davis was accounting for a large part of their offense, and they’ll have to fill the gap in a hurry. Expect LaVine and White to help with that once in L.A.
On the Bulls’ end, they get that ugly Russell Westbrook contract. But, he’s a free agent after this season, so Chicago doesn’t have to worry all that much in that realm.
One thing the Bulls have needed for a few years is additional three-point shooting, which they get in Austin Reaves.
Then, the Bulls get a pair of first-round picks. That’s where the heart and soul of this deal lies, for a team like Chicago who could be amidst yet another rebuild soon enough.
