50. . . 3-11. 57. . 7-7.

The Chicago Bears are actually going to struggle with these Detroit Lions.

On November 13th, 2022, the Chicago Bears lost to the Detroit Lions in a week 10 matchup by a final score of 30-31. It wasn’t pretty for the Bears but it was in that game that people realized that the Bears are truly terrible and the Lions might actually be building something nice here.

Now that we are all these weeks later, the Lions are back up to .500 and the Bears still haven’t won again (seven-game losing streak). Just because the Lions used to be bad doesn’t mean that they still are. In fact, they might be the Bears’ biggest problem in the coming years.

Before this week 17 matchup, the Detroit Lions have a game on the road against the Carolina Panthers. These are two overperforming teams this year but the Lions have a much better roster. It should be a good game that the Lions are able to pull out.

If that happens, the Bears will be facing a Lions team that is over .500 which is scary to think about. Their draft pick from the Los Angeles Rams and the Matthew Stafford trade is going to shockingly be better than their own pick.

Don’t count the Lions out of this game just because of old-school feelings about the team. At this point, these guys are the second-best team in the NFC North.

Final score prediction: Lions beat Bears 35-21
