3 Eagles free agents the Chicago Bears should pursue in the offseason

The Chicago Bears could sign Eagles cornerback James Bradberry in 2023
When the Bears drafted Kyler Gordon this past spring, most thought he would end up starting opposite Jaylon Johnson on the outside. But, Gordon has fit much better in the slot and has become a staple at that position. Maybe he’s capable of being a full-time starter on the outside in the future, but for now, the Bears could have an embarrassment of riches if they kept him inside and signed James Bradberry.
At 29 years old, Bradberry still has a few years left in his career. He’s been a very good cornerback throughout his 7-year NFL career that has spanned between the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants and now Philadelphia.
This year, you could argue Bradberry is having his best season yet. Looking close at the numbers, you’ll find he is allowing the worst opposing passer rating of his career at just 40.5. Bradberry has also only given up one touchdown when targeted this season and is allowing a 44.3 percent completion percentage.
Paired with another physical corner like Jaylon Johnson, Bradberry could give the Bears a fantastic one-two punch at the position. This would take cornerback off the list of needs for Chicago in next year’s draft, too, or at least allow them to push it further down in priority.
